About
We work closely with government organisations, businesses and individuals, who are looking to deliver positive environmental impact. We draw on our expert life cycle thinking to provide an evidence base to support big decisions to achieve ambitious targets.
Our Story
Our consultancy was founded in 2003 by Tim Grant, who has worked in LCA for over 25 years. He is the founding member of the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society and is a pillar of the international Life Cycle community through his involvement with the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, ISO standards development committee for ISO14048 and the Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation.
Tim’s passion to see a more rational science-based approach to environmental decision-making led him to step away from academia and build our consultancy to work closely with businesses to change the way they think and operate.
Within our 20 years of operations, we’ve generated or reviewed 10+ circular economy strategies for local, State, Federal government and the private sector;
contributed to the development of 3+ industry-leading calculators (Australian Greenhouse Calculator, eTool, Farmprint); contributed to the $400k National Food Waste Strategy Feasibility Study; and significantly, provided guidance to ARENA & Climate Active to maintain the integrity of LCA in Australia.
We’ve grown both internally and externally with strategic alliances with other consultants, and partnered with research organisations. We have a tight-knit team of industry leaders and sustainability advocates who’ve grown and evolved along with the company and accrued a number of bright graduates along the way. Each team member has a unique mixture of technical skills, empathy and unwavering dedication to science and sustainability.
