  • An Environmental Product Declaration, EPD®, internationally accepted and developed in-line with well-established International Standards to ensure rigour and transparency. It is a registered document that provides relevant, verified and comparable information about the environmental impact of goods and services.
    Generally taking between 6 months - 1 year, our consultants will not only provide the full LCA report suitable for an EPD but will be with you every step of the way to ensure you have a successful submission.

Life Cycle Assessment

With over 20 years of experience in life cycle thinking, it is our duty to provide comprehensive LCA reporting and act as a reliable third party to critically review other LCAs.

 
 

Full LCA
A fully documented LCA comparing alternative scenarios with detailed data collection on the main elements of the study, a comprehensive inventory, methodology and interpretation of the results. The LCA reports can be delivered in an ISO compliant format and be put through an ISO critical review process to increase its quality and credibility in the marketplace.

Streamlined LCA
A streamlined LCA comparing different products across their life cycle with some documentation of assumptions and results. Generally not suitable for public disclosure without further work but provides the client with the information needed to commission a public disclosure LCA or make internal decisions of design or material selection.

Social LCA
There is growing societal recognition that companies are accountable for their entire supply chain. That means investigating social impacts throughout the product life cycle is an important value driver – and an opportunity to support sustainable innovation. To help companies understand social LCA we can provide a full analysis using our lifecycle thinking skills, social LCA-specific training and the Social Hotspots Database.

Drawing on your internal data combined with a variety of renowned LCI databases, including AusLCI, The Australian input-output database, and ecoinvent v3 database we can build a well-structured model for you to use as a future branded template.

  • MFA is used to track and quantify the flows of materials and energy within a system. Integrating material flow analysis and life cycle assessment can help to optimise resource use and reduce environmental impacts, leading to more sustainable outcomes. Our team can help deliver these in a range of capacities.

  • We can work with your in-house specialist to provide support over the four stages of the LCA.

    1.Goal & Scope
    Get the project started on a clear footing to help establish the functional unit and reference flows, deal with allocations, identify a data collection strategy and set your system boundaries. Half a day is normally enough to go through this process. It can also be done with a group of key people to bring them into the LCA early on.
