An immersive environmental hack-shop to help small businesses with a personalised pathway to a sustainable product.
This 2-day course has been designed for eco conscious businesses to find out where their product or service sits in terms of environmental performance, identifying key opportunities, key resources, and pathways to verification as well as demonstration of environmental bona fides.

Cost: $3,500 for up to two people from the same brand.

 
  • Pre-workshop consultation up to 60 minutes to prepare you and us for the day.

  • 2x half days of training and workshopping within the Lab, with refreshments and snacks provided.

  • Access to dedicated LCA practitioner, software and data for the Lab Day.

  • Summary Report (3-5 pages) on initial findings and possible next steps from Lifecycles Lab provided within 2x weeks.

Does not include:

  • Completion of a peer review LCA suitable for public claims.

  • Ongoing access to LCA software or databases.

This short course will introduce you to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a methodology to assess the environmental impact of products and systems over their life cycles, from cradle to grave.

Designed for people new to LCA, LCA 1.005 is a short, compact course to teach the LCA fundamentals and provide users with some practical exposure including using SimaPro LCA software.

Using case study examples, we aim to help you understand different applications of LCA, such as EPD, comparative studies and LCA hotspots.

As the Australian and New Zealand distributor and support provider for SimaPro, Lifecycles will provide information about the new SimaPro online platform, and discuss how it facilitates LCA workflow and improves collaboration between users.

This workshop will include:

  • An introductory run-through of the SimaPro online platform and its modules – Collect, Flow, Explore and Share

  • A deeper dive into each module to demonstrate how they can help better coordinate and streamline the LCA process, particularly with multiple contributing actors.

This is a free in-person training, available to those attending the ALCAS conference.

It consists of compulsory and easy-to-digest sessions, spread across 3 days in a hybrid format, accessible both in-person and online.
The course will cover the fundamentals of LCA and standardised procedures, and provide an overview of how LCA is undertaken in a practical sense. It also provides case studies and tutorials for self-study in between the course slots if you wish to do so.
